Raynham Police Respond to Man Struck by Vehicle

RAYNHAM — Chief James Donovan reports that the Raynham Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian Friday night.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., Raynham Police received reports that a man had been struck by a truck with a plow attached outside 40 Richmond St. The truck was not plowing at the time.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries that are considered serious, but are not believed to be life-threatening.

The victim, a 79-year-old Raynham resident, was walking in the road outside of his home when the collision occurred.

The driver remained at the scene. The crash is under investigation and no charges or citations were issued Friday.
