City of Rochester Holds Successful Employee Holiday Drive

ROCHESTER — City Manager Daniel Fitzpatrick is pleased to announce that Rochester’s municipal employees donated a variety of items to the Families in Transition of the Rochester School Department program through a holiday drive.
Rochester City employees collected winter clothing and boots, personal care items, non-perishable food items and toys to donate to the Families in Transition program, which ensures students who are in transitional living situations have what they need to be successful in school.
The holiday drive began on Nov. 13 and wrapped up last Friday at a breakfast for city and school staff members who assisted with organizing donations from their departments.
“These employee holiday drives always prove to be successful thanks to the generosity of our city employees,” City Manager Fitzpatrick said. “I would like to thank everyone who assisted with organizing this drive to help make the holiday season more enjoyable for those in need.”
