Avon Middle High School Celebrates Accomplishments of Fall Sports Student-Athletes

AVON — Superintendent Paul Zinni would like to congratulate and praise the Avon Middle High School varsity fall sports student-athletes and coaches for their accomplishments this season.

An awards ceremony was held in the school’s auditorium on Nov. 30, where the boys and girls soccer teams, football team, girls volleyball team and cross country club were recognized.

“I want to say how extremely proud I am of our student-athletes for their hard work, effort and sportsmanship displayed on the field this year, and the continued work they do in the classroom,” Superintendent Zinni said. “To our seniors, you displayed the leadership and passion that exemplifies to our underclassmen what Panther Pride is all about.”

Playing in District D in the Mayflower League, both the boys and girls soccer teams, along with the football team, were honored with the Mayflower League Sportsmanship Award.

Boys soccer captain Cameron Clark was named the Mayflower League’s Most Valuable Player and was a league all-star.
