JOB POSTING: Georgetown Fire Department Seeks Call Firefighter Applicants

GEORGETOWN – Chief Fred A. Mitchell Jr. announces that the Georgetown Fire Department is actively seeking applicants to fill part-time per diem call-firefighter positions.

The Georgetown Fire Department is looking for applicants that already have at least their Firefighter 1-2 and Emergency Medical Technician Basic certifications, but are willing to train the right candidate. Georgetown residents are encouraged to apply.

Interested applicants should complete a job application and a CORI Authorization Form, which are available at the fire station or online, here. Applicants should also include a copy of any relevant certifications with their application.

Completed forms can be dropped off at the Georgetown Fire Department Headquarters, 47 Central St. Anyone who has previously applied to the Georgetown Fire Department must complete and submit a new application for this position.

All applications must be received by Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at 4 p.m. to be considered for evaluation. Questions should be directed to Chief Mitchell by emailing fmitchell@georgetownma.gov.
