Easton’s Olmsted School to Open as a Shelter Tonight

Update: As of 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, there are 685 outages in town. 

EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge reports that the Richardson Olmsted School will open tonight as a shelter for those whose homes remain without power.

The school, located at 101 Lothrop St., will open by 7 p.m. and will remain open until 7 a.m. Wednesday for those who wish to seek shelter amid continued power outages and expected low temperatures tonight.

Approximately 1,700 Easton homes have yet to have utility service restored as of 6 p.m.
