ROCKLAND — Principal John Harrison is pleased to announce that Rockland High School has named the newest members of its Top Dog Club.
This week’s honorees are seniors Jonathan Baar and Natalie Draicchio.
Baar is a three-sport athlete who currently serves as a captain for the varsity football team. He’s also a member of the RHS robotics team that placed fourth in the SeaPerch Robotics Competition. He is planning to attend a four-year college following his graduation from Rockland High, where he intends to continue playing football and baseball while pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
Draicchio is also a three-sport athlete who serves as a captain for the cheerleading team and has contributed to several state, league and regional titles in cheerleading and basketball — as well as a postseason berth for the varsity lacrosse team — during her time at RHS. She’s also dedicated her time to helping others through a service learning trip to Guatemala through Worthy Village. She plans to attend a four-year college and major in early childhood education.
The Top Dog Club was created this year as a way to recognize seniors who have gone above and beyond as students. Each Friday, RHS staff members select two seniors who have exemplified the school’s core values of achievement, perseverance, character and collaboration by making a positive impact on the Rockland community.
