Members Sought for SAU 16 Superintendent Search Committee

EXETER — Travis Thompson, Chair of the SAU 16 Joint Board, announces that applications are now being accepted for community members interested in serving on the Superintendent Search Committee.

The committee consists of one member from every board in SAU 16 (for a total of seven) and one central office administrator. School officials are currently looking for one school administrator, one teacher, one paraprofessional and two members of the community to also serve on the committee.

Anyone interested in serving on the committee should write a letter explaining their interest and send it to suptsearch2017@sau16.org. A hard copy of the letter can be mailed to:

Responses should be received by Oct. 11. All individuals who apply will be reviewed by the board members who have been appointed by each district.

Those interested in applying should take note that the majority of work completed on the Superintendent Search Committee will occur in November and December. The goal is to have a superintendent-elect by mid January.

The official start date for the new superintendent will be July 1.
