Bedford Police Arrest Wanted Man

BEDFORD — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department arrested a man wanted on multiple warrants after he fled from officers responding to an unrelated call yesterday afternoon.

In addition to two pre-existing warrants for his arrest, TRISTAN ROUKEY, AGE 28, OF LONDONDERRY, is charged with:

• False Report to Law Enforcement
• Resisting Arrest
• Stalking

ROUKEY had been sought on a warrant out of Rockingham County for an alleged Burglary as well as on a warrant out of Manchester District Court for allegedly Obstructing the Report of a Crime.

At 2:10 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, officers were dispatched to a restaurant on South River Road for a report of an intoxicated female on the premises who was with ROUKEY. Upon arrival, they encountered both parties and conducted an investigation. While attempting to obtain ROUKEY’S information, he allegedly provided a false name and subsequently fled from the officers on foot. 

Officers quickly established a perimeter and called on the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police K-9 Unit. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department also assisted with the search. As the K-9 Unit was beginning to track ROUKEY, officers received an eyewitness report that ultimately led to ROUKEY being located a short time later hiding behind a business on South River Road.

ROUKEY was then taken into custody without incident and is being held on $10,000 cash bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack. 

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
