Bedford Police Arrest Driver For Reckless Operation

NOAH HODGES, AGE 18, of MONT VERNON

BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department arrested a man Sunday morning on a charge of reckless operation.

NOAH HODGES, AGE 18, of MONT VERNON was arrested and charged with:

  • Reckless Operation

At approximately 8:20 a.m., Sunday, an officer was conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Route 101 and Constitution Drive when he observed a Subaru hatchback driven by HODGES allegedly run a red light on Route 101 while driving more than 50 m.p.h in a 35 m.p.h zone.

The officer began following the vehicle as it traveled onto the Route 101 split and continued to increase in speed as it approached the Plummer Road overpass. The officer then measured the Subaru’s speed at over 90 m.p.h on the highway’s straightaway.

As he continued to follow the vehicle for a short distance, the officer leveled off his speed at 103 m.p.h and maintained a consistent distance between his cruiser and HODGES’ vehicle before closing the gap and pulling him over without further incident.

HODGES was released later Sunday morning on $750 personal recognizance.
