Rochester City Hall Annex Restoration Project Featured in LHCIP Link Newsletter 

ROCHESTER — City Manager Daniel Fitzpatrick is pleased to announce that the restoration of the Rochester City Hall Annex was featured in the most recent edition of the Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LHCIP)’s Link newsletter.

The feature highlights the ongoing work to restore the City Hall Annex’s original Romanesque Revival architecture, which was obscured by a renovation in the 1970s. Originally built in 1904 as a fire station, the building was converted into a police station before being vacated in the early 2000s.

In 2016, LHCIP awarded an $18,702 grant to the City of Rochester for the project. The project has also received grant support from the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources and from the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources’ Conservation License Plate program.

“We are proud of the work that has been done to restore the City Hall Annex to its original beauty,” said City Manager Fitzpatrick. “The grant from LHCIP has helped make that restoration possible, and we are looking forward to a new life and restored character for the building.”
