Bedford Police and Middlesex District Attorney Investigating after Body Found in Concord River

A body was found today near the Carlisle Street Boat Ramp on the Concord River off Rt. 225 in Bedford, according to police and the DA’s office.

Press Release: Suspicious Body Located in Bedford

BEDFORD – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Bedford Police Chief Robert Bongiorno have confirmed that a body was located today near the Carlisle Street Boat Ramp on the Concord River located off Route 225 in Bedford.

Police responded to the area shortly after 11:00 a.m. today after a report that a group of Boy Scouts cleaning up trash along the river had observed something suspicious along the embankment. Upon arrival police located the body.

The body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The identity of the victim has not yet been determined.

This death is being considered suspicious. This is an active and ongoing investigation. To protect the integrity of the investigation additional details are not being released at this time.
