BEDFORD — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department arrested a man for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated after he caused a minor motor vehicle crash last night.

YAMIL CASTILLO, AGE 31, OF DOVER was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, Bedford Police responded to the intersection of Route 101 and Route 114 for reports of a two-car motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, officers found that CASTILLO, who was driving a 2008 Jeep Compass, had rear-ended a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. Neither driver was injured.

Through an on-scene investigation, police determined that CASTILLO was driving under the influence of alcohol.

CASTILLO was arrested, charged and booked at the Bedford Police Department. He was later released on $5,000 Personal Recognizance bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Merrimack District Court on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
