Saugus Police Department Investigating Bank Robbery

SAUGUS — Chief Domenic DiMella reports that the Saugus Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to North Shore Bank located at the intersection of Broadway (Rt. 1() and Lynn Fells Parkway at 5:30 p.m. A suspect had passed a note to a teller and fled on foot down Lynn Fells Parkway toward the Target store with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

The suspect, seen in surveillance footage above, is a white male in his early-to-mid twenties. He is approximately 5’7″ or 5’8″ weighting 160-170 lbs. He had facial hair and was wearing dark clothing.

This incident is under investigating by the Saugus Police Department. If anyone saw a man matching the suspect’s description or noticed suspicious activity near the bank this afternoon, they are asked to contact Saugus Police at 781-233-1740.
