Gloucester Man Faces Charges After Crashing Into School Bus

GLOUCESTER — Interim Chief John McCarthy reports that the Gloucester Police Department arrested a man after he crashed into a school bus this morning.

CALEB M. ANDERSEN, AGE 20, OF GLOUCESTER, is charged with:

  • Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License
  • Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

At approximately 7:20 a.m., Gloucester Police were dispatched to the area of Essex Avenue and Welch Lane for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a car and a school bus with children on board.

ANDERSEN was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

An additional charge of operating under the influence of drugs (marijuana) may be added pending an investigation by the Gloucester Police Department.
