Two Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle in Woburn Tuesday Evening

WOBURN – Chief Robert Ferullo reports that the Woburn Police Department is investigating after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on Tuesday evening.

At 7 p.m., Woburn Police and Fire responded to the roadway near 10 Common St., (Woburn City Hall). Upon arrival, rescuers found two victims, a man and a woman, who had sustained serious injuries after being struck by a truck.

Both victims were taken to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington with serious, life-threatening injuries. Their names are not being released at this time. The woman is 67 years old, and the man is 71. Both are from Boston.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The incident is under investigation by the Woburn Police Department. The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section responded to assist Woburn Police.
