TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department, with assistance from the Tyngsborough Fire Department, recovered the body of a young male from the Merrimack River this afternoon.

Tyngsborough Police Recover Body from Merrimack River

TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department, with assistance from the Tyngsborough Fire Department, recovered the body of a young male from the Merrimack River this afternoon.

At 11:40 a.m., police received a call from the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing that they had spotted a body in the river. State Police were assisting the Nashua, N.H. Police Department, which was conducting a search of the river for a missing person.

Tyngsborough Police and Fire arrived on scene and were able to recover the body around 12:20 p.m.

This incident is actively under investigation by multiple agencies at this time. No additional information is available.
