*Media Advisory* Rockport Police to Hold Commendations Ceremony

ROCKPORT — Chief John Horvath and the Rockport Police Department invite the community to a Commendations Ceremony, titled “Honoring Those Who Protect Our Community,” next week.

WHEN

Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6-7:30 p.m.

WHERE

Rockport Public Library, Brenner Room, 17 School St.

WHO

More than 20 individuals will be recognized including community members and personnel from the following departments at the ceremony:

• Rockport Police Department

• Rockport Fire Department

• Massachusetts State Police

• Lynnfield Fire Department

WHAT

The ceremony, hosted by Chief Horvath, will provide the department and community a chance to showcase the work of first responders and community members alike. The ceremony will feature the newly established RPD Honor Guard Unit and remarks by members of the Rockport Board of Selectmen.

The following awards will be presented:

• Life Saving Award

• Meritorious Service Award

• Distinguished Service Award

• Civilian Service Award

• Certificate of Commendation

• Certificate of Appreciation

The event is free and open to the public.
