Andover Police Arrest Two, Seize $15,000 Worth of Heroin

ANDOVER — Police Chief Patrick Keefe reports that Andover Police Detectives arrested two people after witnessing a drug deal involving $15,000 worth of heroin.

Andover Police Arrest Two, Seize $15,000 Worth of Heroin

jose-morales-arrestdrugs ANDOVER — Police Chief Patrick Keefe reports that Andover Police Detectives arrested two people after witnessing a drug deal involving $15,000 worth of heroin.

JOSE MORALES, AGE 27, OF LAWRENCE is charged with Trafficking in Class A Substance (Heroin) Over 200 Grams.

CHRISTINE SOUKARAS, AGE 30, OF NASHUA, N.H. is charged with Possession of Class A Substance (Heroin).

At approximately 11:30 a.m., detectives conducting surveillance witnessed MORALES conduct a drug transaction with SOUKARAS in the area of Campanelli Road.

Upon approaching MORALES‘ vehicle, a 2010 Mercedes SUV, detectives viewed bags of heroin in their possession. A further search of the vehicle uncovered more heroin inside. In total, detectives seized approximately 350 grams of heroin from the vehicle, with a street value totaling  $15,000. Detectives also seized MORALES‘ vehicle and a small amount of cash.

As a result, both MORALES and SOUKARAS were arrested and charged.

MORALES is being held on $50,000 bail pending his arraignment in Lawrence District Court at a later date.
