BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is investigating a crash involving a motor vehicle and motorcycle last night that left the motorcyclist injured.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Bedford police responded to the area of Route 114 and White Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident with injury. Upon arrival, officers found northbound traffic stopped on Route 114 due to paving happening further up the road.

After an initial investigation including witness accounts, police determined the driver of a 2016 Hyundai Sonata was making a U-turn on Route 114 in an effort to avoid northbound traffic.

While the vehicle was turning around, a 2016 Indian Dark Horse motorcycle travelling southbound hit the front right portion of the vehicle. Both drivers were transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The motorcyclist sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Both drivers are cooperating with police during the investigation.
