Ashland Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash

ASHLAND — Chief Craig Davis reports that the Ashland Police Department responded to a fatal motorcycle crash over the weekend.

On Saturday, Sept. 17, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Ashland Police and Fire responded to a report of a motorcycle crash in the area of 121 Cedar St.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 600 laying on its side. The sole rider, a 27-year-old man from Framingham, was discovered unresponsive near the bike.  At this time, it appears that the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While the crash remains under investigation by the Ashland Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, it appears that speed and inexperience may be factors.
