Chelmsford Police Respond to Three Car Crash

CHELMSFORD — Chief James Spinney reports that the Chelmsford Police Department today responded to a car crash involving three vehicles outside of the Princeton Station restaurant.

At approximately 4:23 p.m. on Monday, May 2, Chelmsford Police responded to Princeton Station, 147 Princeton St., for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving three cars.

According to police, a woman operating a Honda Accord attempted to make a left turn into the Princeton Station parking lot and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing a man driving a Nissan Altima in the opposite direction to hit the rear of the Accord.

As a result of the crash, the Honda spun out and struck a Subaru Legacy with a mother and child inside.

Six passengers from the Nissan were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The mother and child in the Subaru were also transported by ambulance to a local hospital out of precaution.

There was no damage to the building and no serious injuries to any of the passengers. The operator of the Honda Accord will likely be cited for failing to yield when making a turn.
