Bedford Police Investigating Theft from Animal Rescue League, Seeking Public’s Help Identifying Suspect

BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is investigating a theft of cat and dog food from the Animal Rescue League today.

On Sunday morning, Bedford Police responded to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, located on Route 101, on a report of theft. Employees stated that approximately $700 worth of donated cat and dog food was stolen.

The food was stored in a screened-in area under the overhang of the building’s exterior. Surveillance video shows a man arriving at the property at approximately 1:35 a.m. in a dark colored sedan. He then proceeded to the overhang area, where he pushed in the screen and was able to obtain access to approximately 65 bags of food.

The case remains under investigation, with no identified suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bedford Police Department at 603-472-5113.
