A paper copy of this memo is being mailed to all of our clients.
It appears that Google and other email server providers have begun to get much more aggressive in how they filter email for spam and junk mail. As a result, some of our emails and press releases, are being blocked by your email systems. We have identified several cases in which our emails to clients and press release distributions have been blocked by their firewalls or email providers and have bounced back to us. This presents a potential disruption in service, but it can be easily remedied by your IT staff.
The issue appears to especially affect Google-based email systems, which incorrectly categorize our messages as spam.
It is VITAL that your agency, department or municipal information technology provider or technology employee receive this memo. In order to avoid ANY disruption in email communication between John Guilfoil Public Relations and you, our client, please instruct your IT people to add the following to your email server’s “whitelist;”
