*Media Advisory* Ipswich Police Invite Community to Holiday Movie Night
IPSWICH — Chief Paul Nikas and the Ipswich Police Department would like to invite residents to attend its annual Polar Express Movie Event this Friday to support a local nonprofit.
“Please come out and celebrate the magic of the holiday season with the members of the Ipswich Police Department’s Community Resource Unit,” Chief Nikas said. “This is a great event for the entire town that benefits a worthy organization.”
WHAT
The police department hosts the movie event every year to support Ipswich Caring, a nonprofit whose mission is to give assistance to families in need.
As part of their holiday program, Ipswich Caring coordinates the purchase and distribution of toys, clothing and food to the community, as well as baked goods to disabled and senior residents.
Before settling down to watch the movie, don’t forget to check out several raffle prizes, which will be dropped off by Santa. Children should also wear their pajamas and bring letters for Mr. Claus.
Free hot chocolate and popcorn will be served at intermission.
The event is free of charge, however donations in any amount will be accepted. All the money collected will be given to Ipswich Caring’s holiday program.
WHEN
Friday, Dec. 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
WHERE
Ipswich Performing Arts Center at the Ipswich High School, 134 High St.
