Paraben Announces Release of DS 7.3, Newest Version of its “Device Seizure” Forensic Software
Support of Physical Acquisition of Devices With Android OS 4.4.4 Added
ASHBURN, Va. — Paraben Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of its newest mobile forensics software, Device Seizure (DS) 7.3, with added and updated features.
Device Seizure is designed to serve as the central platform for law enforcement, government, and private security organizations conducting forensic investigations into smart phones, tablets, and other devices.
This latest version of Paraben’s Device Seizure software includes the added support of physical acquisition of devices with some of the later OS versions of Android as well as new deleted data recovery. In addition to these stellar features there is also a new feature for iOS keychain files from encrypted iTunes backup files. This means even more access for investigators to help track down the suspects. Users can also now look for relevant data in not parsed files, as time stamps can now be viewed in different formats from Hex data.
Designed from the ground up for forensically sound examinations of mobile devices, DS has set the industry standard for mobile investigations. Device Seizure 7.3 is designed to communicate with cell phones, mobile tablets, GPS devices, and PDAs via data cables which extract information from the devices. More than 26,000 devices are supported. It also works with iOS, Blackberry, Windows Phone, and many other devices.
“Our goal is to continue to provide our customers with the highest quality of forensics software possible by constantly improving our products,” said Amber Schroader, CEO and Founder of Paraben Corporation. “The latest version of our device seizure software provides valuable updates to our existing product.”
DS 7.3 also fixes possible problems with importing of iOS 9.0.1 backups, acquisition of Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and the detection of Palm Pre devices on Windows 8 operating system.
Key features of Device Seizure 7.3 include comprehensive data acquisition of text messages, address books, and more, built-in password recovery, Windows CE registry viewer, acquisition of complete GSM and CDMA SIM card information including deleted data, full flash download of certain models of mobile devices, and a SIM card cloner. These standard features along with unique custom features like integrated Google Earth which making viewing coordinates from GPS and KML files seamless, make it a powerhouse in the mobile forensic tool arena.
Paraben’s Device Seizure software has the ability to acquire devices both logically and physically, and includes password bypassing as well as file system extractions, all within a single easy-to-use tool and single case. The software also features device auto-detection, making it easy for users to immediately start an acquisition once the device is plugged in. DS will automatically load all drivers allowing investigators to transition from acquisition to report in three simple steps, making this software one of the easiest tools to use.
The cost of a full one-year license is $2,495 and includes:
- Perpetual License of DS (Dongle Based)
- DS Toolbox – Data Cables, StrongHold Bag, Power Management, Media Readers
- License of Link2 for Link Analysis
- 1 Year Subscription Maintenance
