ARLINGTON — Police Chief Frederick Ryan reports that the Arlington Police Department, after an investigation into drug distribution activity in the community, today arrested a man and seized cash, drugs, and a firearm after serving a search warrant on a Grove Street residence.

As a result of the investigation by Arlington Police Detectives and investigators assigned to the Southern Middlesex County Drug Task Force, PAUL SANTOS, AGE 32, OF ARLINGTON was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking a Class B Substance (Cocaine)
  • Illegal Possession of a Firearm
  • Illegal Possession of Ammunition
  • Illegal Possession of a High Capacity Feeding Device
  • School Zone Violation

“Today’s arrest represents the culmination of a detailed investigation by Arlington Police Detectives, working hand-in-hand with our partner law enforcement agencies in Middlesex county,” Chief Ryan says. “It showcases the close working relationships enjoyed by municipal police officers in our region, and I am proud of this excellent work.”

A large quantity of cash, drugs, and a handgun were uncovered in the search. No one was injured in serving the search warrant. SANTOS is being held pending his arraignment tomorrow in Cambridge District court.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
