Damage Reports from JGPR Communities

GEORGETOWN, Mass. — The National Weather Service issued two separate tornado warnings in Massachusetts this afternoon.

We are reporting the following on behalf of some of our clients:

Petersham: Large hail, high winds. Two streets with trees across them with scattered power outages. Town common covered in leaves from high winds. Crews assessing damage

Littleton: Multiple trees down. Lots of lightning during storms. Power outages in the Long Lake area of Town.  Many branches and partial trees broken and down.  Damage seems to be worst in the area east of 495.

Boxborough: Multiple trees down. Very high winds during storm.

Concord: Trees and wires down blocking multiple roadways. Crews working to clear roads of debris.

Burlington: Wires down from high winds.

Bedford: No serious damage.

Billerica: At least one tree down, causing damage.

North Reading: No serious damage.

Tyngsborough: No serious damage.

Methuen: No serious damage.

Maynard: No serious damage.

Sudbury: Multiple trees down from high winds.

Woburn:  No serious damage.

Arlington: Heavy rain and strong winds, but no serious damage.

Gloucester: No serious damage.

Stoneham: 2-alarm transformer fire caused by storm.

Saugus: Several trees down and branches sheared by the wind. One cable line damaged by a branch.
