Burlington Police Arrest Alleged Masked, Armed Bank Robber

BURLINGTON — Police Chief Michael Kent reports that the Burlington Police Department, along with members of the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force, arrested a man today who is allegedly involved in a past armed bank robbery.

MIGUEL GUZMAN, AGE 29, OF CHELMSFORD is charged with Committing an Armed Robbery while Masked.

GUZMAN is believed to be involved in the January 22 robbery at Citizens Bank in Burlington. During the incident, the suspect, who wore a disguise, presented a note to a teller demanding money. He indicated he was in possession of firearm.

Police obtained a warrant for GUZMAN’S arrest after an extensive investigation conducted by Burlington detectives and the FBI. Chelmsford police detectives also assisted with the arrest.

Following his arrest, which was made without incident at his residence, GUZMAN was transported to the Burlington Police Department for booking. He was then transported to Woburn District Court for arraignment.

“I commend the Burlington detectives, the FBI and the Chelmsford police for their dedication and hard work on this case,” Chief Kent said. “The arrest today will hopefully bring justice to this crime.”
