Update on March 16 Fatal Pedestrian Crash

NEEDHAM — Police Chief Philip E. Droney reports that the operator of a motor vehicle that struck and killed a Wellesley woman will be charged in connection with the incident.

The driver, a 37-year-old Needham woman, will be charged with Motor Vehicle Homicide, with a court hearing to be scheduled for later this month at Dedham District Court.

On March 16, 2015 Needham Police responded to a parking lot on Highland Avenue for a report of pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to Beth Israel Needham Hospital, but succumbed to her injuries. The victim was identified in March as Roseanne Verrochi, age 75, of Wellesley.
