North Reading Police Arrest Five Subjects After Aggressive Drug Investigations

NORTH READING – Police Chief Michael Murphy reports that the North Reading Police Department arrested five subjects since April 2nd after aggressive drug investigations.

Michael Galvin, Age 30 of North Reading was arrested on Thursday April 2, 2015 and charged with Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin) Subsequent offence.

Joseph Provenzano, Age 30 of North Reading was arrested on Monday April 6, 2015 and charged with Distribution of a Class D Substance, Possession with intent to Distribute a Class D Substance and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

Kyle McNeil, Age 29 of North Reading was arrested on Monday April 6, 2015 and charged with Possession with intent to Distribute a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance, Possession with intent to Distribute a Class D Substance (Two Counts), Possession with intent to Distribute a Class C Substance (Two Counts), Possession of a Class C Substance (Two Counts), Distribution of a Class D Substance and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

This investigation culminated with a search of the apartment on Poplar Terrace, shared by Provenzano and McNeil, in which police found thousands of dollars in cash and a large quantity of illegal drugs.

Also arrested on Monday April 6, 2015 was Juan Carlos Marrero, Age 30 of Lawrence. Marrero was charged with Possession with intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (Heroin) and Possession with intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Cocaine).

Daniel MahoneyAge 29 of Quincy was arrested on Tuesday April 7, 2015 and charged with Possession of Class A Substance (Heroin) and Possession of a Class E Substance.

These are allegations.  All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
