Georgetown Police Department Announces Retirement of Lieutenant David F. Thomson III

GEORGETOWN — Police Chief Donald C. Cudmore reports that, on Friday, March 27, the Georgetown Police Department held an Open House to celebrate the retirement of Lieutenant David F. Thomson III.

Thomson is a 34-year veteran of the department and most recently has served as the department’s Executive Officer.

“For 34 years, Lieutenant Thomson held many positions in our department with distinction and served as a role model for many of our officers,” Chief Cudmore said. “I wish him well in his much-deserved retirement, and I thank him for his service to the community.”

More than 40 people came by the station to visit with Lieutenant Thomson. Town Administrator Mike Farrell read a proclamation from the Board of Selectmen, congratulating him on his many years of service.
