Saugus Declares Snow Emergency and Parking Ban at 9 p.m. Saturday

SAUGUS — Police Chief Domenic J. DiMella reports that the Town of Saugus is declaring a Snow Emergency and issuing a Parking Ban as a fourth major snow storm and second potential blizzard closes in on the region.

The Parking ban will go into effect at 9 p.m. TODAY, Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, and it will remain in effect until at least 6 a.m. on Monday, feb. 16, 2015.

Motor Vehicles remaining on the streets may be ticketed and towed. The Town needs to have roadways cleared, plowed, salted and sanded for public safety and emergency vehicle access.

“Please allow the plow drivers and emergency crews to do their work. This winter has tested us all, and with your continued cooperation, we will weather yet another storm,” Chief DiMella said.

Free overnight parking is available in the parking lot at the Saugus High School on Pearce Memorial Drive. The official designated lot is known as the “UPPER LOT ON LEFT” as you drive down Pearce Memorial Drive.
