Sudbury Police Arrest Boxborough Man for Breaking and Entering

SUDBURY — Police Chief Scott Nix announces that the Sudbury Police Department this afternoon arrested a man caught breaking into a home.

ANDREW MOLANDER, AGE 26 OF BOXBOROUGH was charged with Aggravated Breaking and Entering Placing a Person in Fear and Wanton Destruction of Property, two felonies.

On Thursday at about 4:30 p.m., police received a 911 call for a breaking and entering in progress at a home on Maynard Road. The caller provided a description of the subject as a white male on a bicycle.

An officer had seen an individual a short time earlier fitting the description and was able to augment the description. Officers already on patrol in the area were able to find and detain the subject within minutes of the call.

One of the witnesses was brought back to the scene who positively identified the individual as having been in the residence.

“I commend the residents for their poise while reporting the circumstances immediately and the quick response of the Sudbury Officers,” Chief Nix said. “I am grateful no one was harmed during this incident.”

MOLANDER also had an arrest warrant out of Ayer District Court for Larceny and Intimidating a Witness. He was transported to the Sudbury Police Department for booking.

No one was hurt.

Neither this incident nor the involved party have any relation to the occurrence reported to the media yesterday.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
