Funeral information for Firefighter Michael Kennedy and Lieutenant Ed Walsh

We all join the Boston Fire Department in mourning the loss of two heroes last week in Firefighter Michael R. Kennedy and Lieutenant Edward J. Walsh.

First responders from around the country are expected to be in the Boston area for the funerals and memorial services for their brothers. Here are the details as released by the Boston Fire Department:

Lieutenant Edward Walsh

Wake/Visiting Hours: Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Main St., Watertown, MA.

Funeral: Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the same location.

Firefighter Michael Kennedy

Wake/Visiting Hours: Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 2:30-8 p.m. at the P E Murray Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., in the West Roxbury section of Boston.

Funeral: Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury.

Note about transportation: Visiting firefighters should check on buses and mass transportation to and from the funerals. Watertown and West Roxbury are NOT near Amtrak stops.
