Three firefighters from Claremont, N.H. suffered serious burns during interior firefighting operations Sunday night.
Chief Richard Bergeron said that the firefighters were badly injured. Firefighterclosecalls.com reported that the three had to be rescued from the house by their fellow firefighters. One firefighter suffered third-degree burns to his arms and chest and was flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital.
WMUR reported that the family living in the house made it out safely, and that the fire burned for more than an hour in a half.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Claremont department and its injured members. We wish them a speedy recovery.
