NORTON — Chief Shawn Simmons is pleased to announce that the Norton Fire Department is seeking applications for the position of firefighter/paramedic.
The Norton Fire Department is seeking highly motivated and capable candidates to provide exceptional service and the highest quality fire suppression, emergency medical care, rescue, fire prevention, and public education services to a growing community of approximately 20,000 residents.
The department handles approximately 4,200 calls for service annually in a community comprising over 6,000 homes, Wheaton College, several large industrial and warehouse facilities, and seven miles of Interstate 495, and more, providing opportunities for varying response types.
The department offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package with
health insurance, retirement benefits, incentive stipends, details, longevity
bonuses, as well as vacation and sick time.
