GEORGETOWN — Chief Matt McKay and the Georgetown Fire Department are pleased to welcome new Firefighter/EMT Kristopher Vallone.

Firefighter/EMT Vallone started his new role as a full-time probationary firefighter/EMT on Monday, Feb. 27

Vallone began his fire service career in 1997 as an on-call firefighter for Georgetown Fire, working in the Department until 2007.

In 2014 Vallone joined the Groveland Fire Department as an on-call firefighter.

During his time in Groveland he showed professionalism and bravery, and in 2021 was awarded a citation for his role in rescuing two residents from a fatal fire in Groveland.

“I look forward to having Kris as part of our team here in Georgetown,” said Chief McKay. “He is an outstanding firefighter and we are excited that he is bringing his depth of knowledge to the Department.”
