Dracut Police Department Responds to Crash Involving Motor Vehicle, Pedestrian

DRACUT — Chief Peter Bartlett reports the Dracut Police Department responded after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning.

Shortly after 7:15 a.m., the Dracut Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to 204 Pleasant St.(Route 113)for a report of a pedestrian that was struck. Upon arrival, officers determined that the victim, a 72-year-old Dracut man, was struck by a Honda Accord driven by a 73-year-old Lowell man.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a Boston hospital to be treated for injuries that are serious, but not life threatening. The driver was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation by the Dracut Police Department.
