Georgetown Police Arrest Man In Connection with String of Motor Vehicle Break-Ins

GEORGETOWN— Chief Donald C. Cudmore reports that the Georgetown Police Department arrested a man over the weekend who allegedly broke into several motor vehicles last month.

Since Jan. 6, police have investigated six car breaks-ins in town, three of which were reported on the morning of Sunday, Jan. 31. Stolen items included an iPad, numerous credit cards and gift cards, and several sets of keys.

Following an investigation, police determined the suspect was NATHAN M. CARON, AGE 23, OF GEORGETOWN, who has a history with the Georgetown Police Department. He was arrested later in the day on Jan. 31 and charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering into a Vehicle/Boat in the Nighttime (Three Counts)
  • Larceny Under $250 (Two Counts)
  • Larceny Over $250

CARON was held without bail at Middleton House of Corrections pending his arraignment today.

“Through a thorough investigation we were able to tie these break-ins to this man, who is known to police,” Chief Cudmore said. “I am pleased that our department was able to bring this suspect to justice and get the victims property back to its rightful owners.”

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
