Tyngsborough Police Investigating Pedestrians Struck By Plow at Restaurant

TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department is investigating an incident where two pedestrians were struck by a plow in a restaurant parking lot tonight.

Police responded to the parking lot around 6:20 p.m. after they received a report that a privately contracted plow hit a 29-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman.

Both pedestrians were taken to Lowell General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and are currently being evaluated.

The driver has not been charged at this time and police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.

“The investigation is open and ongoing,” Chief Howe said. “We are thankful the two pedestrians were not seriously harmed.”

More information will be released as it becomes available.
