Andover Police Investigating Shooting, Man Sustains Non Life-Threating Injuries

ANDOVER — Chief Patrick Keefe reports that the Andover Police Department is investigating an incident where a man was allegedly shot at his apartment earlier this morning.

On Dec. 28, Andover Police received a call from the Lawrence Police Department regarding a report of a gunshot victim at Lawrence General Hospital. The man reported he was shot at his Andover apartment, 700 Bulfinch Drive, at approximately 7:30 a.m.

The victim drove himself to the LGH Emergency Room and currently has non life-threatening injuries.

Police are conducting a search of the apartment at this time and continue to investigate the matter.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and the community is not in danger,” Chief Keefe said. “The incident remains under investigation by the Andover Police Department and the Essex County State Police detectives.”

More information will be released as it becomes available.
