Littleton Police Respond to Single Vehicle Crash, Woman to be Charged With OUI
LITTLETON — Chief Matthew King reports that the Littleton Police Department will summon a woman for operating under the influence of alcohol after she was involved in a single vehicle crash over the weekend.
Police responded to the area of Shaker Lane at Route 119 at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5. Two witnesses, who were traveling through the area, reported a vehicle had crashed off the roadway into a tree.
Upon officers’ arrival to the scene, they located the operator, who has been identified as TAYLOR FARRY, AGE 30, OF WESTFORD, sitting in the back of her vehicle along with one of the witnesses who reported the crash to police.
Police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from FARRY, whose speech was also slurred. Littleton Emergency Personnel arrived on scene and transported FARRY to UMASS Worcester Hospital.
After searching FARRY’S vehicle, police located several unopened beer cans.
Littleton Police contacted the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council and requested that its Accident Recon Team respond to the crash. Through the initial investigation, the Recon Team estimates that FARRY was traveling between 50 and 60 miles per hour before she crashed into the tree.
FARRY will be summonsed to Ayer District Court on the following charges:
- OUI Alcohol
- Operating to Endanger
- Speeding Greater than Reasonable
- Marked Lanes Violation
