WOBURN — Superintendent Matthew Crowley is pleased to share that Thomas Qualey has been named the new principal of Woburn Memorial High School.
Principal Qualey began his new role at the start of the 2025-2026 school year after serving as the Dr. Daniel L. Joyce Middle School Principal since 2008.
Qualey has been a part of the Woburn Public School District for over 30 years, starting his career as a physical education and special education teacher at Woburn Memorial High School in 1992.
Throughout his career, Qualey has proved to be a dedicated member of the Woburn community.
He has coached a variety of teams for the district, including football and baseball, and has given his time and energies to Woburn Little League, Woburn Recreation, Woburn Pop Warner, and the James McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn.
“I would like to congratulate Thomas on his new, well-deserved role as Woburn Memorial High School Principal,” said Superintendent Crowley. “Principal Qualey has proven to be a passionate and caring educator who truly puts the needs ot our students and the district first. I am thrilled to see what he accomplishes in this next chapter of his career.”
“As a lifelong Woburn resident and a proud member of the Woburn High School Class of 1987, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the leader of Woburn Memorial High School,” said Principal Qualey.
