Tewksbury Police Arrest Lawrence Man in Connection with Break-in at IHOP

TEWKSBURY – Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested a Lawrence man in connection with a break-in at IHOP.

On Friday, July 18, at about 6:13 a.m., Tewksbury officers on routine patrol confirmed ANGEL CARTAGENA, AGE 66, of LAWRENCE, was staying at a motel in town and was wanted on outstanding warrants out of Lawrence District Court.

In the course of their investigation, officers learned that windows had been damaged at IHOP, 95 Main St., late Thursday night. They subsequently determined CARTAGENA was involved.

CARTAGENA has been charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime for Felony
  • Vandalize Property

CARTAGENA was arraigned on Friday in Lowell District Court and released on personal recognizance. His next court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 25.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
