Medway Public Schools Names Jeffrey Lappin as Director of Student Services

MEDWAY — Superintendent Armand Pires is pleased to announce that Medway Public Schools has named Jeffrey Lappin as the district’s new Director of Student Services.

Lappin, who most recently served as Assistant Director of Student Services for Sudbury Public Schools, will begin his work in Medway in mid-July.

“It’s an honor to join such an awesome team at Medway Public Schools,” Lappin said. “I’m excited to get working for the district, supporting its students and their families. We look forward to meeting all of their needs.”

Lappin is a seasoned special education administrator with more than 20 years of experience leading inclusive programming, therapeutic services, and district-wide student support initiatives.

“Mr. Lappin is known for his ability to partner with families, collaborative leadership and data-driven decision-making,” said Superintendent Pires. “He has consistently advanced educational equity and improved outcomes for students with diverse needs. Throughout his career, Mr. Lappin has directed therapeutic and clinical services, led behavior intervention efforts, and provided professional development in trauma-informed practices. His expertise in student services leadership, student programming, curriculum development, and staff training has made a lasting impact on school climate and student wellbeing.”

Prior to serving as Assistant Director of Student Services in Sudbury for the past seven years, Lappin was the Supervisor of Therapeutic and Clinical Services for Medford Public Schools from 2013 through 2016.

Before that, Lappin was Director of Special Education for Burke High School in Dorchester for six years.

Lappin began his career as a guidance advisor at McKinley Elementary School in Boston in 2001, working there for four years.

Lappin holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Lesley University and a certificate of advanced graduate study in educational administration from UMass Boston.
