For the Fifth Year, Pentucket Regional School District Receives National Recognition by the NAMM Foundation for Music Education Program

Superintendent Dr. Justin Bartholomew and Fine & Performing Arts Department Chair David Schumacher are proud to announce that the Pentucket Regional School District has been recognized by the NAMM Foundation as part of the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) list for the fifth consecutive year.

The Pentucket Regional School District was one of 22 schools across Massachusetts to receive the honor of being included in the BCME list. Now in its 26th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts nationwide that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

“Thank you to the NAMM Foundation for honoring our music program here in Pentucket as part of the Best Communities for Music Education list,” said Schumacher. “Our music students are passionate about their craft, which allows this program to thrive. Thank you to all of those in our community who have supported our program and made this achievement possible.”

“This fantastic news comes on the heels of the Pentucket Jazz Program’s 25th Annual Cafe Jazz, and that David has been named a quarterfinalist for the 2026  GRAMMY Music Educator Award,” said Superintendent Dr. Bartholomew. “The success of Pentucket’s music program is thanks to the dedication of our educators and students. We are proud to be recognized by the NAMM Foundation for the fifth consecutive year.”
