Westborough Fire Department Responds as Person Using Wheelchair Struck by Vehicle

WESTBOROUGH — Chief Patrick Purcell reports that the Westborough Fire Department responded to an incident in which a person in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on Friday.

WESTBOROUGH — Chief Patrick Purcell reports that the Westborough Fire Department responded to an incident in which a person in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on Friday.

On Friday, July 5, at approximately 12:46 p.m., the Westborough Fire Department was notified of a crash involving a wheelchair and a car on Route 9 at Lyman Street. 

Westborough Fire and Police arrived to find a critically injured adult female, who was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus by Westborough Fire Department Paramedics. 

The crash is under investigation by the Westborough Police Department with assistance from the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council accident reconstruction team.
