WHITMAN — Chief Timothy Clancy reports that the Whitman Fire Department responded to an incident on Harvard Street on Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, April 10 at 4:05 p.m., Whitman Firefighters received a 911 call for a 10-year-old child that had climbed out a second floor window and into the chimney of his home at 143 Harvard St.
Upon arrival, firefighters used a ladder to access the roof where the child was stuck in the top of the chimney from the waste down. Firefighters quickly removed the child without incident. The child was not injured.
No further information is available at this time.
