NORFOLK — The Norfolk Fire and Police Departments responded to a house fire on Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, March 13 at approximately 5:17 p.m. Norfolk Fire and Police responded to 65 Park St. For reports of a fire in a two-story home.
Upon arrival Norfolk Police observed heavy smoke coming from the home and front door. Fire crews arrived shortly after and declared a working fire at 5:22 p.m. bringing additional mutual aid to the scene.
Norfolk Police determined residents safely evacuated before the arrival of first responders.
The fire was knocked down at 5:49 p.m. There were no reported injuries and the family is able to remain in the home.
Mutual aid was provided by Bellingham, Franklin, and Plainville Fire Departments.
The cause of the fire was investigated by Norfolk Police and Fire and was determined to be accidental.
Norfolk Fire would like to thank mutual aid partners and the Norfolk Police Department for their assistance with the two structure fires that occurred within the last two weeks.
