CONCORD — The Concord Fire Department responded Saturday afternoon when a car crashed into a building.
On Saturday, March 28 at 3:45 p.m., Concord Fire were called to an apartment complex on Abbott Lane for report of a vehicle crashed into the building.
Crews arrived to find a pick-up truck crashed into the left side of the building. Crews immediately extricated and administered medical care to the driver. Pro EMS also responded to assist with care.
The driver was transported via medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
An investigation determined the operator had veered off Route 2 westbound and struck the apartment building.
Concord Building and Electrical Inspectors also responded. One unit of the complex was deemed uninhabitable. Those residents were able to find temporary lodging.
